On Saturday I had a discussion with Peter Citera on the way this year schedule was made up and how my team wound up playing in a division we are obviously not competitively in. We did win the winter league city championship for Crystal with three brand new players who never shot competitively. It wasn't like we won 7-0 every time in fact I don't think we even won 6-1. We were then placed in a division with tungsten players where I can see in the faces of the new players the disappointment of losing so often.
I pose this question to all, how can we keep this league competitive and fun?
We all hear complaint but never solutions, Peter asked me a question that I thought about? He said should his team not of shot in order for my team to play in a lower division, after thinking about it I believe they should of, after all we want to encourage new players to play and not discourage them.
I would also like to apologize to Peter because although my concern we warranted I should of brought it up in a forum like this and not during a match.
